India Republic Day -- India celebrates Republic Day every year on 26 January and this year the country will celebrate their 72nd Republic Day to be able to mark the day India became a sovereign republic. 1The Constituent Assembly found for the first time in New Delhi on December 9 1946 in the Constitution Hall which can be now the Central Corridor of Parliament House.
2A drafting committee was hired for drafting the Constitution of India with Doctor B R Ambedkar since the chairman.
3The Constituent Assemblage took almost three years (two years eleven months and seventeen days to be precise) to complete its historic process of drafting the Constitution for Independent India.
